New Moon in Pisces — Take 2

Friday, March 20, 2015, 4:38 AM central

Pisces ConstellationThe new moon is a time of beginnings and opportunities. This is a time of manifestation, making choices, making plans. Jan Spiller published a book, New Moon Astrology, which is one of a few books I keep close. I recommend getting a copy, if you don’t already own it. I also recommend you go to Jan’s website to calculate your Grandaddy Power Period. This period is unique to each person’s chart, based on when the Sun is transiting the 11th House of your birth chart. The 11th is the house of Karma. Follow her suggestion and use this as your first wish, “I want to easily cut through any fears or negativity that may arise in the month following my Power Period, and emerge with flying colors.” This truly will help ease your mind when the powerful changes start happening.

Today’s Triple-Quadruple Whammy

The New Moon has power to change things in your life, but today it’s not the only thing working for change. Today, we have a solar eclipse, a mere two hours after the New Moon from 6:41 AM – 10:50 AM (central). It won’t be visible in North America, but that doesn’t mean it won’t shake things up. Solar eclipses tend to usher in sudden changes from old to new. If your Moon is in Pisces, this might feel like the rug is being pulled out from under you. Just hold on, these tremors will pass. As if that weren’t enough, the Vernal Equinox begins at 4:41 PM (central). This, however, will bring balance and some renewed hope. Today the Universe seems to be the cosmic plumber, unclogging our psychic drains. This is just preparing us for something new, but some powerful aspects are afoot. Did I forget to mention the Super Moon? We’ll have one of those too. You might want to pay attention to your dreams for a while, watch for serendipity, and follow your hunches. You also want to be particularly careful what you wish for…

What to do

You have until today at 12:38 PM (central) to write down 2 – 10 wishes by hand. Write them simply and in plain language. Let your intuition guide you, not logic. Wish what you mean, not what you think you should, not what you aren’t sure about. Date and keep what you write (I use sticky notes in a paper calendar). Don’t waste your wishes on other people, they are yours and yours alone, and they should never be used to influence the will of anyone else. Once you have written down your 2 – 10 wishes, let the Universe have them. If you notice new opportunities, take them. They are the gift you asked for. Change can be a little difficult, especially if you’re afraid or don’t believe you can have what you want. Try your best to remain calm and believe this can be yours. I write to get myself through fearful or uncomfortable times. If you’re not good with words, draw, dance, sing, get out in nature, whatever you need to do.

What’s special about a moon in Pisces?

Wishes you might want to think about involve sleep, universal love, awareness of subtle energies, trust, angelic assistance, compassion, addictions, and health issues related to colds, feet, the lymphatic system, and toxicity. Try soaking your feet in a warm bath before you sit down to write. Seat yourself in a comfortable place, and pay attention the subtle energies around you.

Something yummy

March is the time we start dreaming about spending lazy afternoons in nature. Oranges are in season and there are so many varieties. Buy a few and either go out in nature (if weather permits) or sit by the window. Notice the way the fruit feels on your tongue. Taste how sweet it is. Savor this time. Spring is here, and life can be as sweet as those oranges.

  1. Love it! Kismit that I saw the wish intentions window just in the nick of time. I’ll keep you posted. This is my year that I have personally proclaimed as my 365 days of Wildly Improbably, Highly Inspiring Goals to Reach For 🙂
